Next Generation Discipleship

Magnify . Mature . Multiply

Sunday School (age 3 – 7th grade) Sundays 9:30-10:30am
Youth Discipleship (7th -10th grade) Wednesdays 6:30-8:00pm during the school year

Mission:

Multiply as a church by raising up the next generation to mature into fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ who live to magnify Him.

Purpose:

To coordinate a partnership between the church and families in raising the
next generation to fear, know, follow, and love the Lord. While the family and church are
both vital in passing on the faith, parents, especially fathers, play a crucial role as
primary teachers. We provide guidance, structure, and discipleship for both children and
parents, ensuring they grow together in worship, service, fellowship, and prayer.

How We Accomplish Our Mission

  1. Multigenerational Church Life
We believe children grow best in faith when they are included in the full life of the
church – worshiping, serving, praying, and learning alongside believers of all ages. NGD
encourages a return to this biblical and historical model, helping both families and
church leaders embrace a culture where children are treated as part of the body of
    Christ, not separated from it.
  2. Supporting Parents as Primary Disciplers
Parents, especially fathers, are called by God to be the primary spiritual teachers in the
home. NGD supports this calling by equipping parents with biblical resources, training,
and encouragement to disciple their children daily. Our goal is to strengthen families in
    their God-given roles.
  3. Age-Specific Teaching (with Purpose)
Sunday School and youth discipleship can be helpful when used wisely. We offer age-
specific training as a supplement – not a replacement – for discipleship in the home or
corporate worship. Whenever possible, we involve parents and connect teaching back
to the home and the wider church body.
  4. Outreach to Families
Our outreach efforts focus on entire families, not just children, to foster lasting
connections and invite them into the life of the church. Children without believing
parents are always welcome, but our goal is to share the gospel with whole households.
  5. Prayerful Dependence
We are committed to praying for the next generation and entrusting all our plans to the
Lord. Our aim is not popularity, but faithfulness to Christ and His calling.
  6. Holding High Expectations for Children
We believe children are not just the future of the church, they are part of the church
now. Therefore, we expect more than just moral behavior or rule-following. Our goal is
not simply that children avoid sin, but that they pursue righteousness with joy. We teach
them to love what is good, to serve others, to worship sincerely, and to live out their faith
boldly. While many churches settle for keeping kids entertained and out of trouble, we
call our children to know Christ deeply, follow Him faithfully, and take ownership of their
place in the body of Christ.
